Arlene Camacho

Arlene Camacho brings to the R7 team an extensive professional background in Real Estate, Development, Construction, and Corporate Accounting spanning 25 years. She serves as R7’s controller and oversees client and corporate accounting at all levels, including financial reporting and analysis.

A Los Angeles native, Arlene is the youngest of three children. Her father was a wholesale florist, while her mother stayed home to raise her family. She took a job at the USC School of Dentistry to help underwrite the cost of tuition when it was time for them to go to college. Arlene is a proud USC Trojan, having earned a B.S. in Accounting and graduating Cum Laude. She credits her mother with mentoring her both personally and professionally.

At the beginning of her career, Arlene spent five years working in public accounting before being hired by the largest homebuilder in California. It was then she discovered the perfect partnership for her career: accounting in the Real Estate Industry. As Arlene explains, Real Estate is a dynamic and ever-evolving industry that is always presenting something new to be learned.

Over the course of her career, Arlene worked for a Real Estate giant, and is now looking forward to focusing on the challenges offered by serving her clients and their properties from a smaller, more personal venue. Watching Real Estate trends over the past two and half decades has given Arlene a sense of perspective about the current situation. She says although the industry is currently in a down cycle it will go up again, and for savvy investors there are always opportunities to make good investments.

Arlene is an enthusiastic USC football fan and loves attending home games and going to tailgate parties with friends. She and her husband, Richard, have a 13-year-old son Sam. The family shares their home with a golden retriever named Wilson.
